COGNIZANT Technology Solutions, a US-based provider of IT services, has announced that it has leveraged one of its pre-built business process frameworks, Yardelligent, to build a yard management solution for CAT Group, a Euro1.2 billion European logistics company.

The solution integrates with CAT Group's central vehicle management system and provides accurate vehicle tracking and better resource planning capabilities, says a press release issued by Cognizant.

Yardelligent combines manufacturing and logistics industry experience with technology capability to deliver innovative solutions for the predictive location of assets, asset inspection and operations tracking in real time.

Cognizant was able to build the solution in a relatively short time frame while at the same time providing CAT Group the flexibility to add functionality. The value of the deal was not provided by Cognizant.
