Rashtriya Chem net drops 9 pc

MUMBAI: Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd has reported a nine-per cent fall in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005. The company has announced an annual dividend of 14 per cent.

Fourth quarter net stood at Rs 60.45 crore or Rs 1.10 a share compared to Rs 66.56 crore or Rs 1.21 a share. Net sales were down four per cent to Rs 670.32 crore (Rs 699.82 crore). Other incomes rose to Rs 33.25 crore (Rs 17.46 crore).

Total expenses for the quarter were down at Rs 574.51 crore (Rs 640.20 crore). For the year ended March 31, 2005, RCF Ltd reported a 16 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 140.96 crore (Rs 167.79 crore) while net sales stood at Rs 2,774.32 crore (Rs 2,300.34 crore).
