Shaw Wallace signs new brand ambassador for Knock Out beer

SHAW Wallace Breweries Ltd (SWBL), managed by SABMiller, on Thursday announced Kannada matinee hero, Darshan, as the new ambassador for its strong beer, Knock Out, in the State.

Launched, 20 years ago, Knock Out is one of India's leading brands in the strong beer segment. It sells over seven million cases with Karnataka being the most important market followed by Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

"Knock Out has defined strong beer segment in Karnataka for decades. It is an appreciation for those strong men who successfully stand up to everyday challenges without making any fuss about it. Darshan embodies the same values and therefore we consider this a perfect fit," Mr Vinod Giri, Director, Marketing, SWBL, said.
