Wildlife Flocking together A. Roy Chowdhury
Flamingos at the Osman Sagar Lake on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The birds are found in tropical and sub-tropical areas. The alkaline or saline lakes or estuarine lagoons that usually lack vegetation are their habitats. The flamingos usually do not migrate, but weather changes and water levels have made them go in search of new homes. In recent times, they are seen at different water bodies in the twin cities.
