Karnataka Govt order on illegal pumpsets

Our Bureau

MANGALORE: The Karnataka Government has asked the farmers using illegal irrigation pumpsets to regularise their connections by May 25.

A press release by the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) Ltd said here on Monday that though the Government had asked farmers to regularise their illegal irrigation pumpset connections by April 30, some of them did not avail themselves of this facility.

The Government will not extend the May 25 deadline, the release said. More details could be obtained from the nearest Mescom office, it added.
