Promotions & Offers Height of promotion? Our Bureau
Chennai , May 16 THIS promo literally flies sky-high. Scullers, the smart casualwear brand from Indus League, is offering an aircraft as the prize in its latest promo. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Arun Sirdeshmukh, Head (Marketing), Indus League, said this was the company's way of achieving consumer connect. "We were looking for ways to involve the customer with the values of the brand," he said, adding that Scullers stood for a sporty and vibrant attitude. The contest will run till June 19 across Scullers Club stores, large format stores such as Pantaloons, Shoppers' Stop and Piramyd and other big garment stores. Customers buying products for a minimum of Rs 599 are entitled to an entry form. The microlight aircraft, a two-seater, is imported from France. With a 200 cc petrol engine, it can attain an altitude of 10,000 ft and stay airborne for two hours. The winner of the promo gets to keep the aircraft and will be trained to use it for 20 hours, which exceeds the legal requirements necessary to fly this machine, Mr Sirdeshmukh said. The annual maintenance costs for the first two years will be borne by Indus League. If the winner is not from Bangalore, hospitality costs also will be borne by the company. Mr Sirdeshmukh said Scullers had always aimed to make its promotions distinctive. Giving customers a discount based on their height, offering salsa classes and creating clothes based on customer response to a promo which had designers listen to customers coming into various kiosks set up for the promotion are some examples, he added.
