Seminar on tech communication on Saturday

THE Thiruvananthapuram chapter of the Computer Society Of India (CSI) is teaming up with the Society for Technical Communication (STC) - India to organise a symposium here on `Technical Communication' on Saturday.

The venue will be the Institution of Engineers hall,opposite to Kanakakunnu at Vellayambalam, a spokesman of the CSI chapter said here.

Among those expected to participate in the symposium are Mr Tharun Unni, Senior Team Lead, Documentation, FaceTime Communications, Bangalore;

Mr Gururaj B.S., Information Manager, Hewlett-Packard, Bangalore; Mr Ravishankar R., Manager, Technical Documentation Team, Cisco Systems India; and Ms Sajitha Jayaprakash, Team Leader, Technical Writing Services, Fluent India, Pune.

STC-India has provided learning and networking opportunities for technical communicators in the country since 1999. Its learning sessions and workshops showcase the strengths and knowledge levels of the technical communication fraternity.

The focus of the India chapter is on educational initiatives. One of its first initiatives was to start the series of learning sessions.

STC-India organises regular learning sessions at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
