THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Rs 18.5-crore civil station project in city suburbs.

Development of the city is right on top of the State Government's agenda, the Chief Minister said, while speaking on the occasion. The focus would be on completing ongoing projects ahead of the schedule, if possible.

"It is unfortunate that we plod on for 10 to 30 years for completing projects. This should end," Mr Chandy said. No effort will be spared to see that the civil station project is completed within a specified time schedule.
