Pesticides Nagarjuna Agri net rises to Rs 24.52 cr Our Bureau
Hyderabad , May 23 NAGARJUNA Agrichem Ltd (NAL), the Hyderabad-based agrochemical manufacturing company, has posted a growth of 47 per cent in turnover and 116 per cent in net profit for the fiscal ended March 2005. In a release, the company said that it achieved a total income of Rs 343 crore against Rs 233 crore the previous year, profit before tax of Rs 39.73 crore (Rs 17.68 crore), and net profit of Rs 24.52 crore (Rs 11.33 crore). The company said that the primary business growth has come from its branded formulation sales in India and exports of its technical grade pesticides. Its annual exports have grown to Rs 54 crore from Rs 20 crore in the previous fiscal. The company believes that exports would continue to play a key role for sustained business growth in the future. The board of directors on Monday recommended payment of a final dividend of seven per cent, taking the total dividend payout for the year 2004-05 to 22 per cent including special dividend of 15 per cent paid in November 2004. In the previous fiscal, the company paid a dividend of 12 per cent.
