HYDERABAD: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned an additional 30 seats for the Siva Sivani Institute of Management.

With this the total seats offered has gone up to 120 from the present academic year. The AICTE, under the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development has taken the decision after evaluating the e-learning environment and the present infrastructure at the campus located in Kompally on the outskirts of the city.

Stating this, Mr Sailesh Sampathy, Secretary-Finance of the Siva Sivani Educational Society, which runs the Management Institute told newspersons that "the institute has now become the first among the non-Government, non-University, autonomous institutes in Andhra Pradesh, to have the highest AICTE sanctioned intake of students."

The Management Institute started in 1992 has also achieved a placement record of near 100 per cent, with the students being absorbed in national and multinational corporates.
