Lest they forget!

A bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi being installed in front of the State Assembly building in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. Weighing 2,000 kg and rising 12 feet in height, the statue took almost 10 months to be ready at a cost Rs 16.5 lakh. The Chennai-based sculptor, Mr G. Mohandas, says this is the largest Gandhi statue in South India in sitting posture.
