Spot rubber prices decline

DOMESTIC spot rubber prices declined on Wednesday following all-round selling in June, July, August and September futures at the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. (TOCOM).

Most of the buyers were not prepared to enlarge their commitments in an uncertain market. Futures continued to shed gains with moderate volumes in near months. June contract was quoted at Rs 63.04 (Rs 63.40), July at Rs 63.18 (Rs 63.74), August at Rs 61.24 (Rs 61.63) and September at Rs 59.30 (Rs 59.27) a kg for RSS 4.

Prices per kg were as follows: RSS-4 : 63.50 (63.75); RSS-5: 61.50 (61.75); ungraded : 59.50 (59.50); ISNR 20 : 59.75 (60.50) and latex 60 per cent: 40.75 (41.00).
