New Delhi , May 25

JINDAL Stainless Ltd (JSL) has finalised plans to set up a 1.5-lakh sq. ft. architecture plant at Manesar in Haryana. The total investment for setting up the plant would be Rs 25-30 crore, the company's Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Ratan Jindal, said here on Wednesday.

The company today announced a capital investment of Rs 25-30 crore towards the expansion of its architecture division-ARC, aimed at providing architectural solutions in stainless steel.

"The architecture has received good responses from the industry and the types of orders that the company is receiving, it needs to move to a bigger location," Mr Jindal said.

Within the next five year the architecture division hopes to achieve a turnover of around Rs 125 crore. The company feels that the Government's airports modernisation programmes and the Commonwealth Games scheduled for 2010 would lead to much higher consumption of stainless steel, he added.
