New Delhi , May 26

FOLLOWING enquiries from trade regarding impact on the Inland Container Depot (ICD), Tughlakabad, here after restrictions on container movements by the Delhi Police comes into effect, the Container Corporation of India said that containers can be transported to the ICD through Faridabad-Badarpur route instead of the Ring Road/Outer Ring Road.

"As per the directions of the Delhi Police, these restrictions will be on movement of transit containers, i.e., containers which are coming from neighbouring States to ICD/Tughlakabad," stated Concor.

Further, there will be no restriction on movement of containers originating and terminating within Delhi area.

The restrictions on movement of trailers entering Delhi from neighbouring States come into effect from July 1.

Concor clarified that no restriction has been imposed by the Delhi Police on cargo coming in trucks to the ICD.

Concor's customers who may be facing difficulties on account of above restrictions may now avail ICD facilities, which have been provided at Dadri & Rewari.
