Canara Bank to open one more branch in Mumbai

Mumbai , May 27

CANARA Bank will open on Saturday a branch in Dahisar (West).This will be the bank's 2512nd branch.

The branch will focus on `specialised savings' business. It is fully computerised and connected with the national network of the bank.

It is also 88th branch of the bank in Mumbai city.

The bank's General Manager, Mr V.S. Reddy, has informed in a press release that they will open two more branches and five ATMs in the city shortly.

Established in 1906, the bank will celebrate its centenary in 2005-06.

The bank had an aggregate business of Rs 1,57,000 crore as on March 31, 2005.
