India to host global meet on warehousing in '07

INDIA is to host the annual international convention on warehousing and logistics in 2007, after Latvia, which is holding the meet next year, according to Mr S. Ramakrishna Reddy, Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation.

Mr Reddy, who attended the convention of the International Federation of Warehousing and Logistics Associations in China earlier this month as a delegate, said at a press meet here on Friday that the Chinese economy had made rapid strides in recent times and it was visible on the logistics front too.

India has to go a long way to go anywhere near China, he said.
