Mumbai , May 30

THE Retailers Association of India (RAI) is offering a two-month course on retailing that will guarantee a job after the course's completion.

According to RAI, applicants must have an HSC or equivalent. The course commences with the first batch of 40 students in mid-June.

As part of its retail learning initiative, RAI has conceptualised professional retailing skills under its Growing Managers' Retail Awareness Initiative (GMrai).

In a press release, Mr Gibson G. Vedamani, CEO, RAI, said, "Organised retail in India is in the growth phase and facing a manpower crunch, especially at the store level. The two-month-course, duly accredited by us, will help companies in getting ready-made trained manpower, thus saving on cost, time and training. Also, for students, it is a course which guarantees them job placement with the best retailers."

The course will cost Rs 8,000 for two months.

The application form maybe downloaded from www. retailersassociationofindia. org.
