Coimbatore , May 30

PRICOL Technologies has joined hands with the Virginia-based Blue Ridge Numerics, developer of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to offer `Upfront CFD solution' to various industry segments such as aerospace and defense, consumer electronic appliances, medical and engineering.

The introduction of the CFD solution would help product development teams move from a mathematical model to CAD (computer aided design) environment, according to Mr A.S. Ramaseshan, President and COO of Pricol Technologies.

"This enabling solution would help companies reduce its testing costs and physical prototyping time drastically while enhancing accuracy levels, minimising the learning curve and strengthening product innovation," he said.

Through this partnership with Blue Ridge, Pricol Technologies, according to him, would attempt to make this tool (CFD) available, offer consultancy services besides developing plug-ins and models for different industry verticals.

He added that the engineers would be able to perform multiple design changes quickly to achieve the best possible design. The company has pegged this product at two-third the cost of the traditional CFD solution.
