Shasun products in US, Europe

CHENNAI: Shasun Chemicals & Drugs Ltd has announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with the New Jersey-based Alpharma Inc to market its select generic formulations in the US and Europe.

Under this agreement, the company will develop and manufacture 10 generic formulations in specific dosage forms and strengths for exclusive distribution and marketing by Alpharma.

These 10 oral formulations fall under speciality, chronic therapeutic segments such as cardio-vascular and central nervous system categories. The current brand market size of these products in the US and Europe aggregates to around $20 billion, says a press release from the company.
