Plea against name change of Bajaj Tempo quashed

Our Bureau

PUNE: Bajaj Auto Ltd, which had filed a SLP against the name change of Bajaj Tempo to Force Motors has suffered a setback as the Supreme Court on Wednesday quashed the SLP.

This petition was filed to challenge the order dated May 3, passed by the Division Bench of the High Court at Mumbai.

The High Court order had declined to stay the name change process. The name of the company as approved by the members of the company, has already changed to Force Motors Ltd with effect from May 12.

This Firodia Group company was formerly known as Bajaj Tempo Ltd.
