Our Bureau

Coimbatore , June 2

TREND Micro has raised worm_mytob.bi to yellow alert status. This is the fourth variant of the ever-popular family of worms to reach the alert stage - and the second in this week to do so.

TrendLabs has declared a `medium risk virus alert' to control the spread of worm_mytob.bi. It has received several infection reports indicating that this malware is spreading in Belgium, Japan, Korea, India, the US, the UK and Germany.

Anti-virus experts had only recently detected the first variant of the Mytob family of worms.
