Policy e-centre aspirants called for Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Individual entrepreneurs can now apply for setting up some 1,112 Akshaya e-centres, featuring a minimum of five computers, under the Akshaya scheme of the State Government. The new e-centres are being set up in the districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kasaragod, a Government spokesman said here. Implementation of the e-literacy programme, which promises employment to one member of each family in the State, is sufficient to ensure the return of a bulk of the investment made by the entrepreneur initially. He is allowed to charge Rs 120 for the 15-hour training imparted to each such member.
