Chennai , June 6 METROPOLIS Health Services (India) Ltd, which owns a chain of diagnostics centres, will partner with Nawaloka Hospital, Sri Lanka, to set up diagnostic laboratories in that country. Announcing the proposed venture, Dr G.S.K. This means the company would be able to offer over 1,200 laboratory tests for patients against the normal 200-250 that most hospitals can manage.
Prof Lal G. Chandrasena, Director of Nawaloka Hospital, said that it operates a 350-bed hospital and plans to set up 10 smaller hospitals and more primary health centres. Nawaloka Metropolis will manage its existing laboratories and set up the labs where Nawaloka's hospitals come up.
