Rubber Mixed trend in rubber market Our Correspondent
Kottayam , June 7 rubberRUBBER prices were mixed on Tuesday. Bullish international markets and monsoon fears kept sheet rubber firm and the grade improved to Rs 64.50 from Rs 64 a kg on Monday. According to observers, most of the dealers and growers continued to hold the stock to sell at higher levels during the lowest production season. ISNR 20 slipped further in the absence of buyers amidst extremely thin volumes. The remaining grades closed steady though there were moderate enquiries as the session turned sunny after a few rainy days. The futures market was almost steady with moderate volumes. The June contract was quoted at Rs 64.25 (64.27), July Rs 65.40 (65.32), August Rs 62.99 (62.86) and September contract at Rs 60.25 (60.20) per kg for RSS 4. RSS 3 improved further to Rs 63.45 from Rs 62.38 a kg at Bangkok. The July futures for RSS 3 was flat at Rs 159 a kg at TOCOM. Spot rubber prices per kg are as follows: RSS-4: 64.50 (64); RSS-5: 62 (62); ungraded: 60 (60); ISNR 20: 58.50 (58.75); and latex 60%: 41 (41).
