NRSA(Hyderabad) gets grant for digital maps

HYDERABAD: The National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Hyderabad has got Rs 318.73 lakh for the preparation of digital maps of the hydro-geomorphological regions for Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, and Orissa.

The funds, which come through the Accelerated Rural Water Supply Programme (ARSWP), are intended to address drinking water problems.

Under the Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission, rural habitations with population of above 100 are covered for providing quality water and institutionalising water quality monitoring through surveillance of catchments, according to an official release.
