New CGM for Nabard(AP)

HYDERABAD: Mr V. Ramakrishna Rao took over as the Chief General Manager of Nabard (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), Andhra Pradesh Regional Office, on Monday, from Mr J.R. Sarangal.

Mr Rao was earlier the Chief General Manager of Nabard, Jaipur Regional Office. Prior to this, he worked at the Head Office, Mumbai, as Secretary to the Board of Nabard.

Mr Rao has over 25 years of experience in agricultural lending and development finance, supervision of banks and micro finance. He developed a new SHG model in Rajasthan, which has come to be known as the `Ajmer model', according to a Nabard press release.
