New allergy pill from Panacea

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Panacea Biotec has launched a new anti-allergy drug, Ralif (rupatadine 10 mg) for conditions such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Ralif, an oral, non-sedating drug, provides relief by inhibiting histamine and platelet activating factor (PAF), which are the most common mediators in allergic rhinitis whose symptoms include sleeplessness, fatigue and irritability.

Mr Rajesh Jain, Joint Managing Director, Panacea Biotec Ltd, said, "This is part of our continuous effort to provide innovative, yet affordable drug therapies.

Ralif has a dual mechanism which provides better relief from both allergy and associated inflammation, while other available medications have antihistaminic property only."
