SNS Tech upbeat on software testing

R. Savitha

Pune , June 9

SNS Technologies is all set to latch on to the boom in the field of software testing.

The segment, which saw only about 20 per cent being offshored, is now seeing 60 per cent offshoring.

Talking to Business Line, Mr Ashish Shah,Founder and CEO, said the company, started in 1999 with an employee strength of 10, had set up a test lab in Pune. It has also set up a Bangalore facility to take care of testing requirements.

The Bangalore facility is at an incubation stage and has on its rolls about 25 personnel. This will be increased to 50 by the end of this fiscal, said Mr Shah.

Mr Shah said the company was in the process of setting up an UK subsidiary. Last year, the company went into the UK market on an experimental basis and found the response good.

Currently, it operates mainly in the US and India. Expansion plans in Bangalore and the UK will entail an investment of Rs 1 crore. Mr Shah said SNS's focus was on the product testing space. It has the distinction of introducing the concept of Test Process Optimisation (TPO) to product development companies.

TPO is a complete optimisation of the test process designed to ensure a smooth relationship between the company and the outsourced partner.
