New Delhi , June 9

IN line with its global delivery strategy, NaviSite Inc, which deploys, manages and enables software applications and infrastructure for middle-market organisations, has said it would ramp up India operations to 120 professionals by the year-end.

"NaviSite's India office adds a global dimension to NaviSite's delivery capabilities by creating an integrated solution centre in an offshore location that complements NaviSite's existing services and offerings.

"NaviSite's customer support will remain in the US, but the company will augment its enterprise and infrastructure capabilities and provide extended implementation and support skills to both the professional services and managed services businesses," Mr Sumeet Sabharwal, Vice President - Global Delivery, NaviSite, said.

At present, the company has 35 professionals at its development centre in Delhi and plans to ramp up the headcount to 120 by year-end.

"The development centre here focuses on extending enterprise and infrastructure capabilities to provide enterprise application development and management skills," he pointed out.

NaviSite has 14 data centres in the US and one in UK, he said adding that while 450 professionals are based in the US, about 25 are in UK.
