Rural energy programme at Mangalore

MANGALORE: The Dakshina Kannada-based non-governmental organisation, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), in association with SELCO (India), will host South-South Redco (Rural Energy Development Corporations) Exchange programme from June 14 to 17.

A press release by the SKDRDP Executive Director, Dr L.H. Manjunath, said here that progress in the implementation of solar energy projects with regard to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts would be discussed at the seminar. The seminar will also discuss the models adopted for the implementation of these solar projects.

Dr D. Veerendra Heggade, SKDRDP Chairman, will inaugurate the seminar.

Delegates from Brazil, Bolivia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Morocco, Nepal and the Philippines are likely to attend the seminar, the release added.
