Nobody ever lost money taking a profit

Kay: Don’t give ‘tips’ to bookies, you rookies! Watched chart patterns?

Sri : I see downward possibility before market resumes its upward march.

Dax: The market will move in a narrow range, I feel. :-|

Jog: Crucial mark can be 6800 for Sensex; 2100 for Nifty. Bearish mood!

Kay: Can expect Nifty to land at 2078, else further down to 2065 levels.

Sri : Jog, once your levels are broken on closing values, can we see...

Jog: Up, yes! Also possible new high for the indices. F&O indicators, koi?

Kay: They don’t provide a comfort zone! :-(

Dax: True, most of them point to a downward bias for the Nifty.

Kay: Better to stick to stock specific developments rather than look at broader indices.

Sri : Street talk is of buying interest in Kothari Products and HCL Tech.

Jog: Both stocks can have upside potential.

Dax: Dabur is among the toppers in the FMCG space at the moment.

Sri : A stock that’s helping all FMCG funds take great strides forward.

Jog: The market may be targeting 150 in the near term! JMO

Kay: On June 14, M&M board meets for bonus announcement!

Sri : And ITC board meets on June 17 for stock split and bonus.

Kay: Western India Shipyard locked in 20 per cent upper circuit on Friday.

Dax: Suna tha L&T may buy this. For short-term players, a good pick.

Sri : Big players are stuck in this and may like to exit at higher value.

Jog: If L&T acquisition turns true, than it will be a long-term buy.

Kay: In the low-priced category, any usual suspects?

Dax: Prakash Industries and S.Kumar’s are mentioned on the street.

Sri : Another small cap stock worth looking at is Royal Manor Hotels.

Dax: Ahmedabad mein! Managed by Indian Hotels. Worthy, high-risk buy!

Jog: Gillette counter inching up! Now in the 700 range. Early opportunity!

Sri : With the market waiting to hear news on the P&G buyout front?

Jog: Check out the low-profile small cap stock in the textile space!

Sri : Super Spinning. More than doubled over a year; further upside!

Kay: SpiceJet stock may see some upward movement this week, I guess.

Dax: Added its third aircraft. A good buy with a price target of Rs 100.

Jog: Assam Co is abuzz! Getting active on the oil & gas front, heard.

Sri : Gone past 80-85. Low liquidity is a problem. Only on BSE, not NSE.

Dax: Greenspan has hinted at interest rate rise in the US.

Jog: If that happens, some FII funds may move out of the market...

Dax: Despite poor run on Friday, bulls may roll up their sleeves if the progress of monsoon is good, and build up long positions before Q1!

Kay: Cement stocks are likely to remain in the limelight.

Dax: Last Monday, Cummins gained almost 6% while SBI and GTN were up about 2 per cent. Centurion and Guj Amb hovered around 1%

Jog: Even as SAIL and Reliance Energy inched by about half per cent.

Sri : Watch out for cable distribution co Hathway Bhawani Cablenet.

Jog: Yeah, worth looking at. Buy this but risk is also high.

Kay: In mid-cap, pick Triveni Glass. But, bearishness ka asar hoga!

Dax: Ended at Rs 55, up over 4% on Friday. Can pick up around Rs 49-level after some correction. The company made a turnaround in Q4.

Jog: Expect Jindal Poly & Oudh Sugar to remain firm; rights offers open!

Sri : I see weakness ahead, towards the end of the week.

Jog: Low subscription levels on day 1 does not augur well for the former.

Kay: Keep an eye on Ranbaxy as it has strengthened its presence in Europe though acquisition of a portfolio of generic products.

Dax: Metal stocks may bounce back; reports of a protracted phase of firm prices. “The best plan is to profit by the folly of others,” said Pliny!

Sri : “The investor of today does not profit from yesterday’s growth!”

Jog: Warren Buffett said so. But I like what Bernard Baruch said!

Dax: That nobody ever lost money taking a profit? LOL

Kay: Dale Carnegie advises, “The successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way.” Buffett said about suits...

Sri : “I buy expensive suits. They just look cheap on me.” Take care!
