SATYAM Computer Services Ltd has bagged a multi-million dollar contract from Invista, a global player in the polymer, intermediates and fibre business, to run its global application maintenance system operations for its enterprise platform.

The contract will initially run for three years with an option to be extended. Satyam will provide Invista application maintenance support for five clusters across the globe covering SAP technologies.

The contract also includes 24x7 global multi-lingual help desk support for global enterprise applications to be provided by Nipuna, Satyam's BPO subsidiary.

The Director and Senior Vice-President for Satyam's Manufacturing and Automotive businesses, Mr Subu D., told Business Line, "This is a first of a kind integrated deal which would mean the creation of a dedicated centre in Bangalore."

The scope of this fixed bid project includes the running and maintenance of the five ERP instances of Invista, which span US, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
