Reliance Info, SBI in pact for bill payment

Our Correspondent

Madurai , June 14

RELIANCE Infocomm has tied up with State Bank of India (SBI) for online RIM bill payment through R World. As per the arrangement, an RIM user with an SBI account will be able to pay the bill directly from his account, free of charge. "Given the paucity of time, especially in bigger towns, online bill payment is the way forward," said Mr Mahesh Prasad, President, Applications Solutions Group, Reliance Infocomm.

A personal identification number (PIN) is required to access the RIM bill payment facility on R World. One will need to register on www.onlineSBI.com and within 48 hours, a four-digit PIN will be sent via SMS. A customer can also check details of his / her previous transaction and current usage charges, including the unbilled amount, says a press release.
