Sacks of grain for procurement by Food Corporation of India being unloaded from a goods train at the Thrissur railway goods yard. The FCI is reported to have appointed McKinsey to come up with reforms to improve its efficiency. The reforms include reducing staff strength, cutting down handling, labour and transport costs, including transportation by train.
