Retailing Danish furniture co to market products thru Attitude stores Our Bureau
Kolkata , June 16 TVILUM-SCANBRIK of Denmark, a $500-million global player in lifestyle furniture sector, has launched its product range in India. The products are sold through Attitude lifestyle stores managed by Universal Specialities Ltd. The company plans to open 12 such exclusive outlets in the country during this fiscal. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Tvilum-Scanbrik's Indian partner, Mr Gaurav Goenka, said that so far two Attitude stores have been opened in Delhi and Kolkata. Of the projected tally of 12 stores, Delhi will get four and Kolkata two. The rest will be located in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Guwahati and other cities. While the sales turnover is expected to touch Rs 6 crore during this year, the company is targeting a turnover of Rs 100 crore in three years. Talking about the sales strategy, Mr Goenka said that as the demand for high value furnished homes and service apartments was picking up, the company was expecting institutional sales to contribute a substantial portion of the turnover. At present, negotiating with various city builders, Attitude expects to bag the first such order in Kolkata in the next few weeks. Mr Kim Olesen, Sales Manager Asia-Far East of Tvilum-Scanbrik, said that given the large-scale real estate activity in India, the country was expected to contribute significantly to the company's global business.
