Coimbatore , June 17

THE 8th edition of the technological trade fair `Intech 2005' will be held here between July 6 and12.

Organised by the Coimbatore District Tiny and Small-Scale Industries Association (Codissia), the biennial event has attracted over 350 exhibitors.

They will display products ranging from electronics, pneumatics, tooling, machine tool, compressors to extrusions, motors/appliances and plastic moulding machines.

Engineering firms from 15 other countries including China, Brazil, France, Germany and Italy are also expected to showcase their products.

The Chairman of the Intech 2005 organising committee, Mr R. Palaniswami, told newsmen that, with an improved industrial investment climate in the country, the engineering fair would attract a wider business interest this time.

The fair organisers anticipate that Intech 2005 would generate business worth Rs 500 crore.

As an associate event, Codissia will also hold a national manufacturing summit for two days focusing on the challenges and opportunities in manufacturing.
