NETWORK antivirus leader Trend Micro has acquired Kelkea Inc, an Internet Protocol (IP) filtering and reputation services company for an undisclosed amount.

For the network antivirus company, the acquisition of Kelkea happens to be the second in a matter of four weeks.

Trend Micro sources say that the company has started to look at the acquisition route to combat future threats, to integrate new technologies efficiently and consider expertise.

The acquisition of additional technologies is expected to accelerate Trend Micro's capability in addressing security issues of today and in the future.
