Corporate Disputes Anil Ambani offers prayers at Tirumala Our Special Correspondent
The Reliance Energy Chairman, Mr Anil Ambani, walking into the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Sunday.
Tirupati , June 19 MR Anil Ambani today offered prayers in the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala along with his wife, Ms Tina Ambani and two sons. Mr Anil's rather divine mission to the shrine assumes significance coming as it did in less than 24 hours of a truce between the estranged Ambani siblings, the owners of Reliance empire. In fact he was on a similar visit to the hill temple when trouble broke out in the Reliance Group and he was here again today obviously on a `thanksgiving' mission after an amicable end to their fracas. Mr Anil's unscheduled visit to the Tirumala temple today was kept under wraps till the last minute by his local contacts. He flew into the temple city along with his entourage in his personal aircraft and motored up the ghat road to reach the shrine. Looking visibly relieved and composed Mr Anil Ambani along with his wife and kids entered the shrine through the Vaikuntam Queue Complex and spent nearly 15 minutes inside the main temple. After darshan, the high priest of the templeand senior temple officials gave him the `theertham' (holy water) and prasadams of the Lord . Ignores media: When mediapersons swarmed him and shot a barrage of questions as he came out of the temple, Mr Anil ignored them and got into his waiting car and drove away to the airport with his family.
