Corporate Disputes Corporate - Corporate Disputes `There is only one way and that's forward' Our Bureau
Mumbai , June 19 MR Anil Ambani on Sunday likened the resolution of the ownership dispute at Reliance to travelling in a car with no reverse gear. "There is only one way and that's forward," he told newspersons at Reliance Centre in Mumbai's Ballard Estate area. "All stakeholders of the entire Reliance Group, including vendors, lenders, shareholders and investors, should be moving forward now," he said. According to him, the brothers departed "on a cordial note and investors should not have any problems now because our focus will be on our businesses." Late Saturday night, Mr Anil Ambani had issued a statement thanking his family members, particularly his mother Ms Kokilaben. "I sincerely thank the millions of shareholders, well-wishers and friends who have resolutely stood by me through these trying times," he said in the statement. His businesses Reliance Energy, Reliance Capital and Reliance Infocomm will be managed under the umbrella of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises. "These three business have great potential for growth globally," he said. "At Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises, our focus will be on six Cs customers and customer care; corporate governance and corporate value; creativity and competitiveness," Mr Ambani said. He expected no interference from RIL in the day-to-day operations of these companies.
