Rs 700-cr NCDC aid for co-ops in TN

CHENNAI: The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) plans to provide an assistance of Rs 700 crore to the State Government and co-operative institutions in the State, during the next 2-3 years.

The amount includes Rs 31-crore subsidy to the State Government, according to an NCDC press release.

Major programmes include covering the entire State under integrated cooperative development projects, rehabilitation of five co-operative spinning mills, rehabilitation of 12 potentially viable cooperative sugar mills and establishment of distillery.
