HYDERABAD: Matrix Laboratories Ltd has announced that Mr Sanjeev K. Sethi has joined the company as the Senior Vice-President (Pharmaceuticals & Technical Services). .

Mr Sethi was previously the Deputy Head of Global Research & Development at Sandoz, the generics arm of Novartis based in Vienna, Austria.

In a press release here on Tuesday, Matrix Labs said Mr Sethi had about 15 years of work experience with Ranbaxy in the areas of pharma research and international regulatory affairs. He is the principal author and team member for 10 US patents and five Patent Cooperation Treaty applications.

Matrix said Mr Sethi's appointment emphasises the company's new thrust on the finished dosage forms business in its efforts to become an integrated player in the pharma industry.
