Social awareness programme in MBA course

New Delhi , June 22

THE Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has introduced a social awareness programme to sensitise management students on social issues.

The Social Awareness Programme is a compulsory course that will be part of the MBA curriculum.

The programme includes full-time association with one of the 15 NGOs involved with the institute. They include Prayas, Helpage, Smile Foundation, Navjyoti and Child Relief and You. Mr Prabir Sengupta, Director, IIFT, said in a release, "There are some issues afflicting society that warrant the attention of all responsible citizens. It is in this context that this programme has been introduced."
