Business Line photographer gets award

THE Kerala unit of the Indian Veterinary Association has announced its `farm journalism awards' for 2004.

Addressing a press conference in the city today, Dr A.P.S. Nair, President, Indian Veterinary Association - Kerala, said awards have been given in four categories.

Mr K.K. Mustafah of The Hindu Business Line - Kochi and Mr T. Rajan Poduval of Mathrubhoomi- Thiruvananthapuram, have shared the award for the best photo feature in a newspaper.

The award for the best reporting goes to Mr Baby Paul of Rashtra Deepika - Thrissur, while a special award in the audio-visual category has been given to Mr Sheji R., Producer- A.V.R.C., Calicut University.

The award for the best article written by an expert has been given to Dr D. Shine Kumar of the Kerala animal husbandry department, while a special award in the same category has been given to Dr G. Ajith Kumar of the Veterinary College Thrissur. The awards will be presented at a function in Kozhikode on July 6.
