HP to expand partner network

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , June 24

HEWLETT Packard is addressing the emerging small and medium enterprise market with its Smart Office strategy. It plans to expand its partner network from 200 to 400 this year, reaching out to smaller centres across the country.

The Director of Commercial Accounts, Hewlett-Packard India, Mr Ashok G. Pamidi, told Business Line that 52 per cent of the total business in the country is generated from the small and medium sized enterprise segment.

HP is growing at twice the industry growth rate of 15.5 per cent per annum.

With the number of R&D centres on the rise in the country and areas such as life sciences, clinical trail work on the increase, we need to address them with specific solutions, drawing from best practices in other parts of the world, even from projects such as proteomics research and genome mapping, he said.
