New Delhi , June 25

IN a restructuring of Indian operations, human resource management consultancy Hewitt Associates India Pvt Ltd has merged within itself two group companies — Cyborg Systems India and Hewitt International Services.

Cyborg provides software solutions, including human resource management software solutions, for the domestic as well as export markets. It also provides research and development besides acting as a support and training centre for the Cyborg Group worldwide.

Hewitt International Services provides business process outsourcing and back office operation enabled services. After the merger, Hewitt Associates will carry on the functions of Cyborg and Hewitt International Services along with providing human resource management consultancies. Hewitt Associates had sought permission from the Government for the merger of Cyborg and Hewitt International Services within itself, after the Delhi High Court had approved the scheme of arrangement earlier this year. The High Court had also allowed transfer of all the assets and liabilities of Cyborg and Hewitt International Services to Hewitt Associates.

After the representative of the Ministry of Information Technology said the Ministry had no objections to Hewitt's restructuring, the Foreign Investment Promotion Board accorded its approval to the scheme of arrangement at its last meeting.
