Neha Kaushik

New Delhi , June 25

PRIOR to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh's visit to the US next month, a move is on to create a core group of corporate bigwigs from both the countries.

According to sources, the names of the members of the proposed CEOs' forum are likely to be finalised over the next 10 days. The sources added that the Indian side would constitute less than 15 members representing key sectors such as petroleum and natural gas, information technology and manufacturing.

This delegation will also accompany the Prime Minister during his visit to the US. The sources said that according to the current proposal, the forum would be meeting thrice in the next 18 months.

From the Government, indications are that the Finance Minister, the Commerce Minister, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and representatives from the Ministry of Environment are also likely to accompany the Prime Minister.
