Thiruvananthapuram , June 27

TEAMLEASE Services Pvt Ltd, the Bangalore-based temporary staffing company, is looking to add over 17,000 employees to its rolls this year.

The company, which currently has 17,500 employees on its rolls, plans to touch 35,000 employees by the end of the current financial year, said Mr Manish Sabharwal, Chairman, TeamLease Services Pvt Ltd.

By the end of the next financial year (2006-07), the company, which recruits around 2,000 people every month, expects to become the country's largest private sector employer, he added. All this growth will be driven by the growing demand for temps, especially in sectors such as telecom, insurance and now retailing and business process outsourcing, Mr Sabharwal said.
