Strike effect

G.R.N. Somashekar

Lorries remain idle at Yashwanthpur truck terminus in Bangalore on Tuesday. Lorry owners are on an indefinite strike that entered ninth day on Tuesday. The protest is against the lack of proper Government policy on transportation of sand from various parts of the State. Other truckers joined the one-day strike organised by the Karnatka Lorry Owners' Association on Tuesday. The supply of provisions and vegetables to the city was briefly affected by the strike.
