Letters BPO scandal
The recent controversy over a BPO employee allegedly selling classified information to an undercover journalist in the UK has brought the industry under a cloud. Banks need to adopt a technology that will tag the computerised accounts of those customers who hire BPOs. Banks should send alert messages to mobile phones or laptops of customers before permitting a high value transaction. This could prevent malicious employees from attempting to siphon off customer funds. S. Sairam Chennai
