Intec Telecom plans to invest £ 2.5 m in Indian operations

INTEC Telecom Systems, a telecom software solutions provider, plans to invest £2.5 million in its Indian operations by 2006-end to take up high-end software development for its products, according to Mr James Meginley, Director for Development and Technology.

Announcing the launch of the Indian operations, with a staff strength of 80 that would nearly double to 150 by December, Mr Meginley said the Bangalore centre would be an integral part of the company's activities in the supply of operations and business support systems that back billing systems across all types of networks. Intec decided to move to Bangalore in view of the availability of manpower with skills in software and telecom, he added.
